LiteFX::Rendering::DescriptorAllocationRange¶
Stores the relative location of a descriptor within a DescriptorAllocationLayout in a descriptor heap.
Synopsis¶
Declared in <litefx/rendering_api.hpp>
struct [[dllimport, dllexport]] DescriptorAllocationRange finalDescription¶
Using traditional IDescriptorSet "IDescriptorSets", a descriptor allocation range stores the number of descriptors (for descriptor arrays), as well as the relative offset to the start of a descriptor set allocation. For a raw descriptor heap allocation, DescriptorAllocationRange::RelativeOffset directly maps to the offset within the descriptor heap. Think about it as a relative offset to the start of the heap.
A descriptor allocation range does not refer to an actual allocation, but is rather part of a DescriptorAllocationLayout that defines how an allocation on a heap looks like.
Data Members¶
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
Binding | Stores the binding point of the descriptor slot in a IDescriptorSet. |
DescriptorCount | The number of descriptors in an allocated descriptor array. |
Heap | The descriptor heap from which to allocate the descriptors. |
RelativeOffset | The offset to the start of a IDescriptorSet, or a descriptor heap. |
Unbounded | true if the descriptor is an unbounded runtime array, in which case (DescriptorCount is 0) and false otherwise. |
